I just love this sweet family. They packed their patience and just came ready to have FUN!!! This is so important, because capturing toddlers can be challenging. This mommy and daddy did an excellent job being goofy to make their little peanut smile. At 18 months the child is going to do what they want, this is completely normal and expected at a photo session. As a parent, don't panic go with the flow and have fun in the moment the magic will happen. Parent and child interactions are my favorite images and creates special memories for the whole family. At the end of the day it's about family and the memories you create.
Cake smashes are so much fun!! Here's Mr. One-derful's cake smash. It all starts with a theme!! Once a theme is established then we can begin planning for your cake smash.
How cute is this sweet couple and their little future first responder? Jaxson was very interested in driving the firetruck! It was fun watching him process the excitement of the big red truck. Perhaps Santa will be delivering one for him this Christmas, because this little firefighter is ready put out some flames. I mean come on, he's a little heart throb!!!
Lets take a moment to honor and give thanks to our first responders!! We appreciate all you do. It's been a busy two weeks between hurricanes and wildfires. May God keep you all safe!!
As our beloved city of Houston and surrounding areas continue to dry out, it was time to get back to some normalcy. While juggling helping others in need, it was also time to capture sweet Catherine's 6 month stage. Our original session date was set when Harvey devastated the city and so many suburbs and counties east and west of us. We're incredibly lucky and beyond thankful the storm didn't affect our area too badly, as well as, this sweet family. I think we could all use a sweet baby's smile to help us smile again. We're sending LOVE and PRAYERS to all affected!! We will continue to recover together one day at a time. Houston Strong
Do you need inspiration when looking in your closet? Well here are some ideas when selecting outfits for your family session. First please don't stress, keep it simple, don't be afraid of color and have fun mix matching! Your family does not need to wear the same color; in fact, I recommend you don't because you will all blend together. You do want to coordinate and below are some great samples of coordinating well. You photos will look amazing when you take the extra effort to coordinate, I promise!
The camera LOVES color so do not be afraid to accent with it if you choose a neutral palette. When I am editing your photos, keep in mind there's not much I can do with everyone dressed in all black or white clothing. The camera LOVES knit too. It adds lovely texture to your photos.
Here is WHAT TO AVOID...logos, large graphics, words and really skinny stripes on shirts. Ladies, I highly recommend wearing comfortable shoes. While I LOVE heels they will only get stuck in dirt and throw you off balance. I suggest you wear closed toe shoes, flats, sandals, wedges or boots. Most locations will have uneven ground so heels will only be a problem.
I found some examples on pinterest that I wanted to pass on to you for inspiration. Sometimes it's easier to have a visual aid to help brainstorm ideas. I hope this proves to be helpful to my families. Have fun coordinating your outfits and remember if you need an opinion I'm only a text away.
