Do you need inspiration when looking in your closet? Well here are some ideas when selecting outfits for your family session. First please don't stress, keep it simple, don't be afraid of color and have fun mix matching! Your family does not need to wear the same color; in fact, I recommend you don't because you will all blend together. You do want to coordinate and below are some great samples of coordinating well. You photos will look amazing when you take the extra effort to coordinate, I promise!
The camera LOVES color so do not be afraid to accent with it if you choose a neutral palette. When I am editing your photos, keep in mind there's not much I can do with everyone dressed in all black or white clothing. The camera LOVES knit too. It adds lovely texture to your photos.
Here is WHAT TO AVOID...logos, large graphics, words and really skinny stripes on shirts. Ladies, I highly recommend wearing comfortable shoes. While I LOVE heels they will only get stuck in dirt and throw you off balance. I suggest you wear closed toe shoes, flats, sandals, wedges or boots. Most locations will have uneven ground so heels will only be a problem.
I found some examples on pinterest that I wanted to pass on to you for inspiration. Sometimes it's easier to have a visual aid to help brainstorm ideas. I hope this proves to be helpful to my families. Have fun coordinating your outfits and remember if you need an opinion I'm only a text away.
Who LOVES cake? Madison does!!
I witnessed pure happiness once the cake was placed in front of her. Let me tell ya, this girl can put down some cake. I only wish I had video of her enjoying the experience. What a little doll. Thank you for the memories Madison. I literally cannot stop laughing. Happy 1st Birthday, sweet girl!!
Happy Birthday, Everly!
Sweet little doll baby is celebrating her first birthday! She was full of smiles up until the cake smash. Her mood quickly changed after the first touch of the icing. Say what? Yes, this is pretty common. Most babies don't like the texture on their fingers. I personally think she wasn't thrilled about getting dirty. I mean come on, can you blame the girl? She looked so pretty in her purple and gold polka dot outfit.
I want to give props to Mom, she did a fantastic job picking out her baby girl's birthday outfits. She worked so hard, she baked and decorated the cake and even put her crafty skills to work and made the fabric banner. A lot of work went into her baby's cake smash session. I have to say mom nailed it because it all coordinated so beautifully.

BRAXTON ~ 14 Days New
Yee haw y'all, I just want to the two step right now because this little cowboy rocked his newborn session. Please help me welcome Braxton, who is two weeks old. His sweet mom requested a western theme. In fact, dad brought his saddle, boots, hat and other must haves on the ranch. The only thing missing was the horse...maybe when he's a little older.
I have been dreaming of this session and it finally happened. And did I mention this little cowboy did not fuss at all, in fact, he slept the whole three hours. He had a busy morning getting a check up so he was ready for a long nap. Come on back and visit me Braxton.
